Photographer & creative director

I’m Adrian, but everyone calls me A.J.
I work as a fashion and advertising photographer and filmmaker, based in Madrid, though I’m always open to projects abroad.

Before photography, I studied film directing and editing. Cinema was my first language, and it shaped the way I look at images today. That background defines everything I do — whether I’m behind the camera for a photo shoot or directing a fashion film.

I work with brands, agencies, magazines and artists to create images that feel cinematic and intentional. From fashion editorials to advertising campaigns and fashion films, my focus is always the same: to give every project a strong identity and a visual narrative that makes it stand out.

Besides client work, I also run a YouTube channel, where I share my knowledge about fashion photography, filmmaking and the creative process. It’s my way of opening up the behind-the-scenes, giving tips to other creatives, and sharing the journey with people who love this industry as much as I do.

In today’s world, visual presence is everything. When someone looks you up — whether you’re a brand, an agency or a model — your imagery speaks first. If your photos and videos don’t tell the right story, it’s harder to connect with your audience and stand out.

What I do

My work moves between editorials, campaigns and motion projects.

As a filmmaker, I focus on fashion films, brand content and short-form pieces that feel truly cinematic. What excites me is building rhythm, atmosphere and emotion — creating films that stay with you, not just “another video.”

As a photographer, I create editorial stories and advertising campaigns, working closely with stylists, models and creative teams. The goal is always to craft images that can live anywhere: from a magazine spread to a billboard.

For me, photography and motion aren’t separate worlds. They’re two different tools to do the same thing — tell stories through visuals.

how i work

For me, every project is built on collaboration. Even when I’m behind the camera on my own, the result is always shaped by the people involved — the client, the model, the stylist, the creative team. When the production requires it, I put together a crew of assistants, MUAs and DOPs to make sure the vision comes alive in the right way.

What drives me isn’t just making images that look good, but making images that make sense. I want them to carry a purpose — to feel cinematic, to feel intentional. Beauty is part of it, but it’s never the end goal. What matters most is that the final work communicates: that it tells a story, leaves a mood, or simply makes someone stop and feel something.

about me

You’ll often see me with a camera in hand, but it wasn’t always that way. Before becoming a full-time photographer and filmmaker, I studied Film Directing and Editing, which gave me the foundation to understand how light, rhythm and framing can build a story. Cinema has been my first language, and it still defines the way I approach both stills and motion today.

Over the years I’ve worked between Madrid and Barcelona, collaborating on editorials, campaigns and fashion films. For me, every project is about dialogue: listening to what the brand or client wants, and then shaping it into visuals that feel cinematic, intentional and true.

Beyond commissioned work, I also run a YouTube channel where I share my process, my experience in the industry and the behind-the-scenes of shoots. Teaching and sharing is another way of connecting — because this is an industry built not just on images, but on people.

Today, my goal is simple: to create photography and motion that go beyond “nice visuals.” I want to build images that communicate, that tell stories, and that make people stop for a moment and feel something.
